Urgent appointments are available in the morning and afternoon, Monday to Friday’s; in the event of needing to see a doctor urgently please telephone to arrange an appointment. Doctors have 5 minute telephone appointments for patients who would like to ask any questions, discuss medication or test results. If you need to be examined or speak to the doctor at length, we recommend that you make a surgery appointment.
As well as normal appointments, we also provide telephone appointments for patients who would like to ask any questions or discuss medication. This service saves time and solves problems that may not need a consultation at the surgery. To make a telephone appointment please ask reception.
If you would like to speak to any doctors regarding queries then you can phone the surgery on the enquiries line and leave a message. Doctors are very busy and as soon as morning surgery has finished the doctors have to go out on visits, they are then busy in afternoon surgery. If you need any advice or need to speak to the doctor in length we recommend that you make an appointment. Messages can be left for the doctors and the receptionists will happily pass on the message, and if appropriate get an answer to any questions on your behalf.
Our receptionists are usually the first point of contact and are here to help you. They have a lot of information to hand and in most cases will be able to help with your enquiry, ensuring you see the most appropriate clinician. Nonetheless, it is your right to request to talk only to the doctor. Anything that is discussed with the receptionists or any other member of the team is treated in strict confidence. You have a right to be treated courteously, and our receptionists also have a right to be treated courteously by you.
